The Legacy System Codex
Complete database, challenge checklist, and interactive 16-point perk planner for WoW Forever's revolutionary account-wide progression layer. Level alts, master tradeskills, and conquer Azeroth to earn account rewards.
Adventure
Accelerates leveling velocity, enhances rested experience accumulation, boosts exploration speed, improves stealth detection, and cuts down world traversal friction.
Professions
Maximizes resource yields from Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning nodes, increases skill-up acquisition probabilities, enhances Cooking and Fishing output, and reduces vendor reagent prices.
Resourcefulness
Eliminates vendor reagent costs on essential class buffs, doubles well-fed food duration, safeguards gear durability against wipe penalties, and boosts campsite utility.
1. Account-Wide Pool, Character-Specific Allocation
Whenever any character completes a Legacy Challenge (e.g. hitting Level 25, maxing Mining, or slaying Onyxia), the point is awarded to your entire Battle.net account. Every existing and future character receives their own independent 16-point allocation to spend freely.
2. The Strict 16-Point Spending Cap
At launch, individual characters can spend a maximum of 16 points. This prevents players from feeling forced to complete all 65 challenges just to optimize a single character, fostering distinct character specializations (e.g. gatherer vs speed leveler vs raider).
3. Unlock Conditions & Hotkey ('Y')
Access to the Legacy Tree interface unlocks as soon as your account earns its first Legacy Point—typically by reaching Level 25, hitting 150 in a primary crafting profession, or fully charting a continent. Press Y or click the shield on your microbar.
4. Hardcore Permadeath Realm Isolation
Hardcore realms feature their own separate, isolated Legacy Point pool. Points earned in softcore/standard realms do not apply to Hardcore characters. However, achievements made on Hardcore will mirror to your standard account pool.
